This past weekend at Leg 1 of the CAZOVA U23 Beach Tour in Trinidad and Tobago, the women finished 3rd place overall.
The ladies began the tournament beating Jamaica (21-14, 10-21, 15-12). Day two saw them defeated by Trinidad and Tobago 1 (14-21, 21-9, 12-15). In the semi finals on Sunday, the girls sadly lost to Trinidad and Tobago 2 (14-21, 7-21) moving them into the Bronze Medal match where they fought back to take Cayman to 3 sets (15-21, 21-14, 15-9) and to ultimately win bronze.
The men were the only non-Trinidad and Tobago team to compete in the tournament. They won one set and played extremely well. Due to weather, they were unable to play their final match on Sunday and were placed 5th overall.
Well done to both teams!
